Celtics Return To Glory!
Congratulations to the Boston Celtics on winning a record 17th NBA Championship! Behind the steady play of Paul Pierce, Kevin Garnett, and Ray Allen, the Celtics defeated the Los Angeles Lakers 4-2 in the best of seven throwback series. This was the ninth time that Boston has beaten the Lakers in a NBA finals series. Pierce was awarded the series MVP award after averaging 21.8 points, 6.3 assists, and 4.5 rebounds over the six game series.
